8 VALKYRIES UPDATE- Friday, May 28st, 2010

Welcome to the third weekly update of the 8 VALKYRIES novel project.

During the week, some friends of mine suggested me that I should make a 8 VALKYRIES group on Facebook. At the beginning, I wasn't too enthusiastic about the idea. But after thinking about this, it's true that Facebook has millions of users, so I decided to give it a shot and I don't regret it.

Also, being greater in space than my blog, I decided the updates will be posted on the 8 VALKYRIES Facebook group.

Of course, I'll post the link of the update every week on the blog so you can directly join in.

If possible, join the group on Facebook and spread the word to as many people as possible, whether it's on Facebook or Twitter. Thanks a lot!

8 VALKYRIES UPDATE- Friday, May 21st, 2010

This week allowed me to review lots of things on the written chapters of the story. Since I was able to finished a new chapter, I decided to put this week (well, the other half of it) to a review session.

Progress of the week:
-Chapter IV completed
-Azu-Chan's drawing of Leylandia finished
-Reviews on Prologue, Chapters I, II, III & IV (Changes noted to be done)

And here's Leylandia, the character representing Lindsey "B-Outthere" Blaufarb of the Beat Freaks



Current progress of the whole project:
-Prologue chapter completed
-Chapter I completed
-Chapter II completed
-Chapter III completed
-Chapter IV completed
-5 out of the 8 valkyrian main characters have been drawn (4 are colored)
-Timeline of the first volume completed

During the following week, I'll be jumping on Chapter V and if Azu-Chan finishes lining the drawing of LeyLandia with darker lines, I'll have it colored by Ross!

8 VALKYRIES UPDATE- Friday, May 14th, 2010

Greetings everyone & welcome to the first weekly update of the 8 VALKYRIES novel project. If you've red the previous post, then you must know by now what it is about (otherwise, go read it now.)

I'M GLAD TO ANNOUNCE THAT IT HAS BEEN A YEAR I'VE STARTED THE PROJECT (started on May 11th 2009)! 8 VALKYRIES'S A YEAR OLD! THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENCOURAGE ME! I WON'T LET YOU DOWN!


Current progress:
-Prologue chapter completed
-Chapter I completed
-Chapter II completed
-Chapter III completed
-4 out of the 8 valkyrian main characters have been drawn & colored.
-Timeline of the first volume completed

School & the NHL Hockey Playoffs (Yeah, I'm from Montreal) are starting to take most of my time, but I still manage to keep writing and I'm not going to find any excuse for that.

This week's progress:
-Chapter IV: 7 pages and a half written (making a totally of 20 pages and a half for this chapter)
-Wallpaper made of the first four Valkyries (Click here to view)

If possible, I will continue the writing on the week-end. And other than that, I'll try to be in touch with Azu-chan, the story's illustrator about the drawing of Lindsey's character, "Leylandia."

8 VALKYRIES: STARTING WEEKLY UPDATE

I decided to put a weekly update about the 8 VALKYRIES novel project. For those who don't know what it is, all the information are there. Thank you.

8 VALKYRIES
What is it?

8 VALKYRIES is a novel project started on Monday, May 11th 2009 that was inspired to me and will be dedicated to the world's greatest BGirl dance crew the BEAT FREAKS (photo by Cole Walliser) who competed in the third season of AMERICA’S BEST DANCE CREW

It is a fantasy-styled story based on Norse mythology. The story tells of eight battle-maiden goddesses reincarnated on Midgard, the world of mortals, after their land of Asgard had been overrun by a vast, unknown and powerful force capturing it along with the other elder gods. Reawaken and remembering their previous lives, the eight warriors must reassemble and return to Asgard to save this land along with Odin, the king of gods, and the other deities of this world from the unknown threat.
